Business Spotlight: Pelindaba Lavender – Edmonds
Small businesses and the people who own and work in them are the heart of our Edmonds community. To keep our downtown thriving, it’s more critical than ever that we think local first.
In this new series, we will be highlighting independently-owned businesses, and learn more about the folks that make them run!
Meet Aimee Hauff from Pelindaba Lavender – Edmonds
What is your favorite part of your business?
Sharing the complete lavender experience with customers.
Why did you start your business?
I had been using Pelindaba Lavender products for years and sharing with family and friends about the wonderful uses of lavender ranging from personal care, therapeutic, household to culinary. When a franchise opportunity became available I was eager to join the Pelindaba Lavender family and help more people experience lavender’s extraordinary array of natural properties that have been in use for several millennia.
Why did you choose Edmonds for your business?
The location on 5th Ave N is an amazing location just off the center of Main Street. The support of small businesses from the Edmonds’ residents, the walkability of downtown and the tourism customer opportunities were why I chose Edmonds for my business.
What is unique about your business?
Pelindaba Lavender is a premier grower of lavender plants, distiller of lavender essential oils and handcrafter of lavender-based products. We cultivate all our lavender flowers in our own organically certified fields and extract the essential oils from these flowers in our own on-site distillery on San Juan Island. From these flowers and essential oils, we handcraft on-site a wide range of botanical, culinary, personal care, therapeutic, household & pet care products.
Why should people do business with you?
At Pelindaba Lavender we pride ourselves on excellent customer service. We want the customer to be immersed in the complete lavender experience when visiting our shop. This could range from sampling culinary treats to education about the lavender distilling process, providing lavender growing tips or help with picking out that special gift for a loved one. We are friendly, knowledgeable and here to take care of you as our visitor.
What are your business hours?
We are open Sunday – Tuesday 11am to 5pm, Wednesday – Saturday 11am to 6pm.
