Business Spotlight: Sound Styles
Small businesses and the people who own and work in them are the heart of our Edmonds community. To keep our downtown thriving, it’s more critical than ever that we think local first.
In this new series, we will be highlighting independently-owned businesses, and learn more about the folks that make them run!
Meet Jenny Murphy from Sound Styles.
What is your favorite part of your business?
Serving the community of Edmonds, and working with a great group of retailers.
Why did you start your business?
I always knew I was not the corporate type and always wanted to work in an entrepreneurial atmosphere servicing women.
Why did you choose Edmonds for your business?
I grew up in Edmonds. It is home to me.
What is unique about your business?
Sound Styles services a lifestyle customer, not an age group. Our business is about relationship building and servicing our community with women’s apparel as the medium. We specialize in comfortable everyday clothes and wardrobe building…casual jeans, tees, sweaters, tops, washable and packable fabrics, medium price points, even some men’s items.
Why should people do business with you?
Because we truly care that our customer be the best they can be, and looking good relates directly to feeling good.
What are you currently doing differently during this time?
- -Developing more of an online presence via Facebook, Instagram and our YouTube channel.
- -Our inventory offering of “Life is Good” for both men and women has expanded. Customers simply love the positive message it brings.
- -Athleisurewear is another expanded category.
- -We’re working to provide a safe environment to shop where personal service is key.
