Ring in 2023 Downtown
We are a city that loves to celebrate, and the new year is chock full of opportunities to do just that! Head downtown on NYE and raise a glass (or a few) to 2022. We know it’ll be a night for the books, so we’ll let you sleep in the next morning.
If you’re feeling bold on January 1, rouse your weary bones and jump into the Salish Sea with us promptly at 1pm. Punch the sky, do a little dance, hug your freezing body, or spectate from the sidelines as you sip a warm beverage from the beach—however you choose to usher in 2023, we have options for you.
But First, Get Gussied Up
Strut into the last day of 2022 feeling your finest. Get a fresh cut from Chroma Salon and Spa, jewels from Cline Jewelers, a full ensemble from Rogue or Pear Tree Consignment, and kicks from Crush Footwear. Now, you’re ready for the fetes.
Soirees Around Town
Our foodie star is on the rise, and with so many drool-inducing eateries dotting our downtown blocks, we have options aplenty for your last night of 2022.
One of our newest culinary gems, Charcoal, is celebrating its first NYE with a three-course pre-fixe menu for $95. Splurge on the wine pairing for $45 while you’re there!
The ChurchKey Pub will hand out a glass of champagne to everyone inside when the clock strikes midnight.
Fire & The Feast will offer its full menu at regular prices and a list of specials. If there’s any night you deserve an extra serving of dolci, it’s NYE!
Kelnero is shutting down to host a formal, ticketed event for those who get their hands on the limited amount of tickets. Dust off your sequined gowns and tuxes! You’ll be sipping champagne by the glass, enjoying half-off the bar’s top shelf, and getting your groove on with caviar and oysters. Keep your eye on the Kelnero website, Facebook, and Instagram for all the details and to nab your tix.
Salt & Iron and SanKai will offer their full menus at regular prices and a list of specials. Typically, Feedme restaurants have hosted pre-fixe menus only on NYE. They wanted to give people more options this year, so make sure you take advantage of ordering your favorites!
Santa Fe Mexican Grill & Cantina is serving up their version of a festive French 75, aptly called a Mexican 70. It’s mixed with Don Julio Mexican 70, agave, lime, and prosecco. They’re not staying open until midnight, so plan your party places around downtown accordingly.
Vinbero invites all the early birds to its coursed champagne dinner. They’ll be closed to the general public in the evening to host a four-course meal, with each course paired with a full glass of champagne. At 9pm, partygoers will raise their glasses for an “East Coast Toast” with some social time afterward, but it’ll be early enough that all you party people can still make it to new year’s parties or tuck in a little early. Keep refreshing the Vinbero website, Facebook, and Instagram to reserve your seat.
If You’re Feeling Bold
The 15th Annual Polar Bear Plunge
If you wake up with a titch of a headache on New Year’s Day (and even if you don’t), we know one surefire way to cure it: Our annual Polar Bear Plunge! Meet us at the beach at 1pm on January 1, or make a day of it by starting at Daphnes for a little hair of the dog prior to practicing your Wim Hof breathing. This year marks our 15th annual plunge! It’s becoming as Edmonds iconic as the bubble man. Don’t forget to grab a plush robe from Soaring Heart to wrap up after the main event!
